05 cd player problems

my cd player has been acting up lately a lot..Just about everytime i get in and put on a cd it will randomly start skipping on random songs, then it kind of sputters around and it well either go to the next song or spit the cd out saying "bad disk" when i know the cd's just fine...anyway to fix this? i dont want to buy a new cd player if i dont have to
thanks

They are junk! Mine went to hell after 1 year. Everytime I got in my truck if I wanted to here a cd I would have to beat on the dash for a few minutes so all the cd's could cycle while the hu was "initializing". It sucked!!!

The '04 - '05 Delphi head units are notoriously unreliable. Usually, just unplugging the power connector overnight would clear out the memory and they would start working again.

The '07+ Delphi head units are much more reliable and offer almost twice the power per channel. They're fairly inexpensive on ebay.
