No sound on left side!!!

Hey fellas,

I have a 2000 F-350 w/ an aftermarket sound system that was installed before I got the truck. The Install was done nicely and am vey happy with it. I have had the truck for a couple of years and all of a sudden there is no sound comming out of the front and rear left side speakers. Well actually... there is sound (whatever is on the radio, not fuzz) but I have to put the balance all the way to the left and turn the radio up fairly loud to be able to hear it at all. I know the speakers are getting signal cause I get some sound out of them and the sound is clear just not loud.

The door speakers are Boston Acustics along with a JL 10" under the center consol. The door speakers are not run off of an amp just whatever the headunit puts out (50w). I am pretty sure its not a setting on the headunit because it was not messed w/ and the problem just started to happen ( radio was ok then the next time the truck was turned on it pulled this crap). Any suggestions? BTW it is a mid-grade alpine headunit.

Thanks,
Ed
