Alright,
I just installed a jensen VM9512 head unit into my 02 screw. I love the head unit, but it blinds me at night (no dimmer). The headunit has an illumination and a dimmer wire (that i didn't hook up), mostly b/c i couldn't find the correct wire. Anyone know what the correct wire for my truck is? i tried searching w/o any luck.... I used one of the wiring harness adapters and it didn't have a illumination or dimmer wire on it. But the factory headunit also had 2 connectors going into the back of it (only used one).. so i'm guessing its located in that harness.. not sure though..

Your illum wire must be caught at the parking light wire at the light switch. The oranges in the harness are dimmer + and dimmer -. Will not work.

 

alright.. so if i get the orange. ilum. wire from the head unit hooked up to the parking light wire, will i be able to dim the head unit at night?
