Question about a DNX7100 Harness

I have not seen the harness yet. I assume it is a plastic module that plugs into the back of the HU with loose wires at the end. I know you have to have a Ford to Kenwood /harness by metra or similar. I would solder these ends together via the provided schematic. I assume this than plugs into the Ford indash harness. Sort of plug and play. My questions are this. Does the power and ground for the HU run through this harness? Or are they run seperate. to fuse box and good ground point? second question is how difficult is it to wire the relay box harness? and where is the relay box located? I have not decided if it is just better to give BB or CC $150 to do this or just take time and do myself. I also need a 5 channel amp installed and if they did the install I would havew them do it all at once.

If I go having them install though how easy is it to pull the unit back out and locate the parking brake switch and disconnect what they do and ground it to by pass the shut off while vehicle is in motion?

Thanks so much for any help in advance.

Suprisingly to me when i did mine it was the same as any other cd player with the exception of the rear cam turn on(which i still havent wired up) and the wire that goes to the park switch to disable the dvd function unless it is in park. I was able to wire the power right through the adapter for the factory radio. I then ran the wire for the dvd right to the parking brake where there is an extra ground so everything works while i drive. The installation was very straight forward and if you have done any type of installation i think it would be a waste to throw away the money on having it installed. Just my .02
