iphone/ipod input

What is the best way tap into my factory head unit with aux button so I can plug in my iphone and play my mp3s? I already have my sirius piggybacked on my factory head unit so I just have to hit the aux button to tune it in.

asuming you are using a head phone jack as the input.. just unplug it from your sirius and plug it into your iphone

I don't know about the factory head unit, because I removed mine almost as soon as I got my truck back in '99. I'm still using a Pioneer head unit that's similar to these, and I have my Pioneer Ipod interface and XM tuner daisy-chained to the CD changer port in the back.

This may be more of an investment than you want to make (I did this gradually, piece by piece), but it was the best-sounding solution for the money.

I don't want to unplug it every time I want to use it. Is there a way to have the sirius always plugged in and have a jack available for the iphone?

i guess you could use a splitter and another cable... but just make sure your sirius is off when you want to play the iphone...

but this just seems like a lot of wires to deal with...

If you have the Sportster 4/5 model plug the ipod into the aux on the front of that.
