Exclamation Radio wont work!!

Just bought a used 2005 supercrew and the factory 6disc radio works great during the daytime but at night when i turn the headlights on it wont make a sound but all the controls and everything else continues to work like normal. If i park it and turn the engine off the radio will start working again even with the headlights on. I have checked every fuse already and still nothing

Any ideas??

Hmm... sounds like some issue with the illum circuit but idk. Does it change at all with the dimmer in different positions?

My stab would be something internal..like when you turn on your lights, it is possible the dimmer grounds out a speaker wire and causes your sound to turn off...a quick fix...cut the dimmer off.. recommended.. no.. recommendation..try a new radio...just my stab

Turns out there was a remote start in the vehicle when i bought it. It looked like it was already half disconnected so i cut it all the way out and now it works great.

Anyone wanna buy a used remote start??? Cheap!!!!!!!!
