Pioneer 390mp

I am looking at getting a new HU for my 99 F-150. I was looking at the pioneer head units. The 390MP was a premeir while the 3900 was not but it looked like they pretty much were similar including the price. So i think i will go with the premeir one. Both had a cd player and were ipod ready which are the main things that i want. I know i need the ipod adapter but is there anything else that i would need to get it to wire up to my pickup and fit in the dash nicely? ALso i noticed on their website that they come with a remote but i was wondering if you can still control everything without the remote

The Premier version typically offer a bit extra, but IMO it's never been enough for me to consider buying one, and my last couple of HUs have all been Pioneer brand. Aside from the adapter for the iPod, you will also need a dash kit and wiring adapter kit. Together, both should run you about $25-$40 with tax. You will also need an antenna adapter for your year Ford truck. This will allow you to plug your stock antenna into the aftermarket stereo antenna receptacle, and should only cost about $10. The remote is not your only way to control the Pioneer unit; you can still control it by the buttons on the face, but the remote is just a convenience factor.

There is ABSOLUTELY no difference b/w the two except the premier has a 2 yr warranty through Pioneer instead of the 1... (warranty aint worth **** tho...)
