Hi Good Day to every one.
My wife just buy me a new sound system for my F150 1999.
It's a 200 watts system (4 x 52 Watts ).
Could i use original speakers?
Is there a factory amp or just the head?
Sorry for my typo i'm french!

Thats 208 watts

Hehe, just givin' ya shlit

Anywho, that 52 watts per channel is MAX power, which means absolutley squat. RMS output is going to be around 12-15 watts per channel.

As long as you dont go crazy with bass boost and such, and dont crank the volume an absurd amount, you will be fine with the stock speakers.

Unless you have the 'Premium' stereo, you should not have any amps...most dont.
Just get yourself a harness and install kit and start cranking the tunes (but not to much )

+1 Bartak

I have a feeling you got a Sony? Id say RMS between 18-22w. Stock speakers are possible dependant on music type and loudness. All 97-03 spks are the same. Ford just changes output levels and the DSP's in the radios.
All the upgraded radio package is is a $.10 DSP chip. Maybe add a tweeter and a cheap *** 6-8'' Sub. We pay 200-300 dollars, Ford maybe $25.

No, you only need to hook up the one power/speaker harness, which is the rectangle one. Im assuimg the other harness is a square one, and I cant remember what its for at the moment. BUT, even though it was plugged into your radio, its more than likely not used.
