2000 F150 xl. Came with the cassette and I would like to change it to one with a cd. Not worried about a changer though it would be nice. Anyone know the Ford part # and what other year models will fit mine?

 

Don't know the part #'s but 97-03 models should fit, although there are some "premium" sound units that probably won't work. And I would stick to something that came out of a F150. Expediton, Excursions,ect. have rear controls and other stuff that might cause problems.

Have you considered an aftermarket head unit? It would be alot better and might even be cheaper.

 

Thanks. I already have an aftermarket installed and it's nice and clean looking, I was just thinking about going back to the stock look if I could find a good deal on one.
