AVIC-D3 install problems
AVIC-D3 install problems
So I had my AVIC-D3 installed yesterday at Best Buy (I know, I know...but the installation was free with purchase and I talked to the guy to make sure he knew what he was doing).
Anyway, as soon as I left the store I realized my climate controls were showing the temperature in fahrenheit where they used to be celsius (I'm from Canada). Upon further investigation, I found that the controls don't really work properly anymore. I can turn the temperature up and down, but the air conditioning doesn't come on when it says it's on and I have no fan control whatsoever. Also, when I try to turn on the heated seats, the light comes on while the button is pushed down and then immediately goes off.
This one has me stumped. I was going to try disconnecting the battery to try to reset the computer but I doubt it'll fix it. I'm sure if I take it back to Best Buy they're probably just going to refer me to a dealership, but I thought I'd ask on here first to see if it was a quick fix. Any suggestions?
Forgot to mention, it's a 2005 Lariat with the audiophile system and factory sub.

I was actually pretty impressed. I've heard some horror stories but I guess it just depends on which one you go to.
After talking to them for a few minutes, I could tell the guys I dealt with were obviously qualified and I'm more than happy with my install.
