Question Alpine or Sony?

I'm about to have a new head unit installed in my 07 F150.Its either going to be the basic Alpine CD/radio or a Sony CD/radio.The alpine has 45X4 watts per channel (16X4 RMS).The Sony is 52X4 watts per channel (17X4 RMS).The Sony has a remote, the Alpine does not.The Alpine is $119.00,the Sony is $109.00.Any opinions? Which would you choose?

BTW,i'll install an amp later.I'm going with Kicker 6X8s front and rear.

Alpine head unit; hands down. You wont ever regret it I promise, and as far as that power goes, neither one is a true rms power output; and the remote you honestly wont use all that much.

Alpine, hands down. That's the only deck I'll put in any of my vehicles.

Dont waste money on Sony. I used to have a sony deck and clarion speakers in my s10. I always thought the clarion speakers sucked, until one of the many times the sony deck had to be repaired, I put the original 1986 AM radio back in, I couldnt believe how good it sounded. This was only a few years ago, so its not like it was the first deck sony ever built either.

Since Ive had my F150 I have had 2 alpine decks, never had a problem with either of them. In my opinion Alpine is #1 for sound quality.

Go with Alpine. I currently have a sony deck that I will not have for much longer. I like to listen to the radio and sony's radio tuner sucks.

Your Alpine deck may not come with a remote but you may be able to buy one. If you really want one. I like them myself. My Alpine did not come with a remote but they made one for it. So I bought one afterwards.

Hmm dont think I really need to say it cause everyone else has, but Alpine all the way. I have the IVA-W205 in my Truck, and a CDA-9856 in my gf Jeep, and love them both. Overall all of apline's product are excellent.

I would go Alpine too, but why not another brand like Pioneer or Kenwood? There are some sweet double din or whatever they're called radios to fit these spaces, with navi etc.
