Ron, it's a simple plug and play switch (lots of info on the boards about it if you spend some time doing a search). I don't know the part number, just be sure to get the non-audiophile unit which has 3 connections in the back rather than the 2 that your cd player will have. The 3rd connection is for the sub and I've heard that the audiophile units don't sound that great if the sub is not connected.

Ron, it's very easy to do, I just did this not long ago, but unfortunatly the 6 disk player I bought had issues and I had to return it. The portion of the dash covering the radio and HVAC switches/***** pulls off very easy, just start pulling it off from the bottom near the ash tray (seems like it's going to break, but it's held on by 6 clips). You then need to unplug the passenger air bag light. Then it's 4 screws holding the radio in place, unscrew those and disconnect the antenna, and 2 plugs in the back of your radiio and it's out. Just reverse this to put the new radio in.

Wish I could help with the part number, but unfortunately I'm on the road using my laptop and don't have access to all my links and info that are on my home computer.

Just be sure to get an F-150 head unit. F-150 units are plug-n-play. Most passenger car head units are not 100% compatable with the F-150. Many passenger car head units (like the Mustang) require a CPU down load when removed from the 'stang and a CPU upload when installed. Sometimes they work in an F-150, sometimes they don't.
