Exclamation HELP!! Stock 6CD HU acting up

First off, I have an 04 Lariat with the 6 CD changer, I don't have the audiophile. I have a Kicker amp and sub, and a PIE iPOD interface hooked up to it. I have been running this setup for several months now with no problems due to either of them.

What the HU is doing: It will eject and load CDs, you can set the time, and thats it. I'm not the first to have this problem as I have read. Actually, it has happened to me before, it turned out to be the accessory delay fuse. Well, it was the same thing this morning, same fuse, I blew 3 different 10As, so I tried a 15A, blew it, then a 20A, blew it. Then I tried a 25A and it didnt pop but I started smelling it trying to blow fairly quickly, so I shut it down immediately and pulled the fuse, you can see that it was beginning to warp and melt. It would only blow them when you turn the ignition to accessory or further, of course. Now...I'm pretty sure I've fried a wire somewhere, so I tested all the wires for current down there on the fuse panel, all is well. I even put another 10A fuse in there, which says it is getting power oddly enough, but now it doesn't blow. Am I overlooking some wire?

The MFer is, I just got my truck back from the dealership yesterday after they had it for 3 weeks fixing a wiring harness to the passenger side head that controls the VCT. They fixed that and all was well until I drove it around for like 10 minutes, stopped at a red light and the truck died. It started right back up and haven't had anymore trouble out of it, I think it was just working the cobbwebs out. Now...whether or not these two things have anything to with one another is beyond me. But so is the fact that my HU would magically keep blowing fuses this morning, even though it didn't skip a beat all day yesterday.

Please help!!! I'm at my wits end!

Well I found out that my remote wire was pinched and wore through. It grounded itself out on the body of the truck, and it was spliced into the delay accessory wire in the back of the head unit. Any ideas on where to look for the other end of that wire?

Your remote wire? It should go from the head unit to your amp. That's the wire that provides signal for the amp to power on.

Screw the remote wire, just bridge the 12v and the remote. All power All the time.

I meant the delay wire from the HU.
