Jensen VM9412

I had one installed in my truck about a week ago. At least my wife did since Im in Iraq right now. Anyone have any reviews on these? Any information would be nice. I talked to a buddy who is a dealer and he told me what he knew. I just want the consumer end of the story.

Thanks

I have the VM9312 (I think yours just has a bigger built in amp), and I'm very happy with it. Video playback is good, iPod controls are excellent. I would definately buy another, two thumbs up from me.

I had the VM9410 installed in my F-250, til the screen crapped out on me. It doesn't work when its tilted all the way up (the normal viewing position in a truck like mine). It only works when it is tilted towards the floor... Other than that, it was a good unit and has held up well over the past 2.5 years. I'm thinking about sending it in to be repaired, but it'll cost $200.

heres my jensen vm9412 that i installed in about 1 hour 4 days ago. I have it hooked up to a kicker 10" l7 and it hits hard. So far its been great but I cant get the dvd player to play even with the ground hooked up to the ebrake, so im have a pro installer put in a pulse box. But you will be happy

dash kit, wire harness. you only need the amp install kit if you are running a external amp for your speakers or for a driver.

video bypass

hey to bypass the blue screen, just run the pink wire to a toggle switch. the run from the toggle switch to a good ground. you will have to interrupt the ground and you will then have video!!

Works great on mine

jensen vm's

the jensen units on a whole are a good price they seem to work well have seen many with issues. most common is not getting video. they have a special sequence you have to follow brake on for 1.5 seconds brake off for 3 then back on. if you google it you can find a code you punch in where you can then just ground it out and its good. other than that they are a not to bad. very few differences between the 93 and the 94. one is xm ready one is sat ready. and the 94 has more colors so you get a better picture.
