Factory Head Unit Question...

My '04 FX4 has the factory 6 disc changer in it curently...I am ready to add a system in my truck now and I had a couple of questions...I would like to keep the head unit just because i think it looks good, but I didnt know if it would control or play a subwoofer good. My truck did not come with the audiophile system in it, so I dont have the audiophile head unit. I have found an amp that has (believe it or not!) speaker level inputs so you can hook it up to your factory stereo. It is an Infinity 5761a 6 channel amp. It has a a 5 channel mode that would therotically kick out 287 watts RMS to the sub and about 56 watts RMS to the 4 door speakers. I was wondering if (1) the head unit would play bass to the sub via the 5th channel on the amp, (2) if bass would go to all speakers I hook up and sound terrible, or (3) I need to buy the audiophile head unit from ebay or somewhere like that, and try that instead....I know all of this prolly sounds fuzzy, and I am not a pro audio guy by any means. I just want to know before I buy any of this stuff or go look like a 'tard talking to a Car Toys guy or something....thanks for any feedback!

In Case you are wondering, I am gonna go all infinity....Hopefully, a Factory Head Unit to the 5/6 channel Infinity 5761a, Infinity Kappa 50.7 5 1/4 comp speakers w/ tweets in the front doors, Infinity Kappa 682.7 6x8's in the rear doors, and a 1-4 ohm switchable Infinity Kappa 104.7 10" sub in one of those handy Q-Customs Factory Fit Boxes.....

I suggest that you look into the Rockford 3sixty, these items let you intergrate you speaker line levels into 3 sets of rca's front, back, sub. That way you can keep your factory deck
