Did you screw in the radio all the way?

The trim panel will stick out from the dash about 1/8" all around, too, which is normal.

Yep it's in there tight. The brackets are about a 1/4 back that the original radio. Do you know if I need to change the trim panel?

Thanks

i don't know about nav units, but the '07 6 disc i just got from a lariat had mounting brackets that were slightly farther back than the oem single disc in my '06. couldn't really tell until you laid them side by side and looked down at the tops of both. it was only about 1/4". but that was enough to make the panel not seat well. luckily the brackets were screwed in and i was able to drill new holes to offset the difference. after that the trim popped in fine

Yea,
On the Nav the brackets are all the way to the front but the unit is thick and causes it to stick out further. It's a shame because it works so well. I'm going to take it back out and see if there is something in the dash I can change to get more room.

PS. Haven't learned how to post pictures yet.

Thanks

Harley Boy,
There was a thread a while back about how you have to dremel out the plastic in front of where the speed nuts are for the radio. There were even pictures !!! I had to do this in order to get a factory NAV unit to sit flush in my 06.
Do a search for "factory nav install" or something like that and see what comes up. I will see if I have the pictures somewhere.

Found it!!
