Hello, I have a 6 disc changer. This was pulled from a friends truck and forgot to take out the cd's in it. Plugged it in my truck and am getting a disc error when we try to load or eject cd's.

Any ideas?

 

Try disconnecting the battery for a few mins, and reconnect and attempt to eject cd's. Let us know what happens......

 

My truck does that too. Does it say Initalizing if you push load/eject right when it powers up? I have to beat on the dash and the cd numbers start flashing. Keep beating untill all the numbers have flashed, takes about 1minute. after that it works just fine. Ford gave me some bs about burned cd's being thinner that regular ones and that is why it does that. I had an 03 Ranger and went through 5 6disc players. You want quality go aftermarket.
