In-dash DVD player

My buddy just bought a Dual in dash cd/dvd player with a 7 inch touch screen. He got it installed at Best Buy and they have it set up so that the DVD will not play unless its in park with the e-brake set. The reason is because texas law says it cant be visible to the driver. He bought it for the kids and and now its kinda pointless. Is there any way to re-wire it so that it plays in drive. Thanks in advance.

Not postive on the Dual, but on the Jensens all you had to do was ground the parking brake wire.

+1. Ground the parking brake wire to the chassis.

yeah its really easy...like everyone said...just find which wire is the parking brake ground wire (look in the manual) and then ground it or leave it ungrounded....thats what I did with my avn5500

John, I have the same problem(Dual Unit), my manual says it has to see a switch function, Like the function of the parking brake switch. Let me know if the grounding of the wire works. (is your parking brake wire a yellow wire?) Let me know if it he gets it to work. Thanks
