For the best sound I'd go with a in dash DVD so you can play DVD audio disc with the higher bit rates. I'd even go with a 5.1 surround sound unit if cost is feasible for you. It's really amazing how different a DVD audio disc compares to a standard CD.

There are so many options that open up with DVD video. I would highly recommend that route. If sound quality is an issue, get a unit that can accept an add on processor and you could tweak forever.

it just depends on what you are after, i want to install a double din dvd unit in my truck because it would look nice but i realize that im never realy gonna use it much to watch movies, im only gonna use it to listen to cds so my facoty unit does the work for me, im only in my truck for like twenty minutes a day so its no use for me to spend money on a unit like that when i know im not gonna use it or enjoy it.
