Help with Kenwood 6019 + Ipod!!!

I just installed my kenwood 6019 + nav + ipod and some things are very very wrong. we followed all the instructions, but for one, the screen will not fold down at all, i hit the eject button & it starts to move and then jus goes back, and it is not flush, it is already at a small upward tilt. Not exaclty sure if its just defective or i'm doing something wrong. And 2nd, my ipod is connected, but for some reason i can only view up to 10 (songs, or albums, or artists) depending on what setting i have it on..........but why can't i just go thru all my artis? or songs?

Am I doing something wrong? Cuz the instruction manual is only like 8 pages long, and not very helpful

thank you to anyone that can assist me.......i've been dieing to get this stuff in, and now that its in, i'm kinda angry that its not working :-/

i had the 8017 with the ipod, maybe the dash kit isnt installed all the way down in there? or there could be something behind the radio blocking it, but my 8017 stuck out a lil, like where the volume buttons are, it didnt ever sit alllll the way down in there, but i never had the problem with the front not flipping down, i didnt like the ipod controls for the 8017, so i got rid of it and got a pioneed avic n3

As far as the ipod go, press the scan on the deck button to go through the artist, playlists, albums, etc. It sucks because it can take a while to find what you looking for, so if you have 300 albums on the ipod and you want to go to the 150th album, you have a lot of +- button pressing coming your way.

Make sure you have the dip switch for the ipod set to the #2 position then use the scan button on screen.Try using the reset button on front panel and see if that helps with screen.
