headunits outputs

My question is what kind of AUX outputs does my stock headunit have? Is it the regular red/white ones? what i plan to do is use this to hook my mp3 player to sound system, will this work? if so how do i take the dash and stereo out to hook up the wires?
Thanks for any help
Aaron

The truck is 2004 Xlt

The stock Head unit does not have a set of RCA (red/white) AUX inputs. It's a proprietary Ford connector. You'll need a PIE interface such as the FRD-04 AUX to use the AUX input. The PIE adapters can be a little finiky, and for a few bucks more you can just replace the entire Head Unit with an aftermarket type with ipod, SD or USB inputs built in.
