Trying to decide on a double-din deck...Kenwood or Clarion?

I have a 2000 F150 H-D and I am going to install a double-din deck since I hate the look of the kits. These are 2 of the ones I'm looking at...

I am looking at this deck....

Or one of these...

i'd go with the kenwood. it's got 22w RMS over the clarion's 17w. and the kenwood has the usb input. they're basically the same unit otherwise

I wouldn't get either.

The Kenwood has a USB on front, but the manual says you have to connect devices with the supplied USB cable. No plugging your thumb drive right into the front.

The Clarion model you listed is obsolete. Try the DFZ675MC ($40 more). Not only does it have an SD card reader, but it also allows you to store 650 minutes of music in the head unit itself. Also offers a front panel AUX for an ipod.

You can plug a thumb drive right into the front of the kenwood. I have one and use it all the time.

However, I don't like Kenwood and this will likely be the last one I ever own. I wrote a review of it so you can read it if you like. Look up my posts.

It does look nice though so if that is what you're after then it will work.

I thought that the factory HU was more like a din and a half not a 2 din? That is what I remember reading anyway when I had my mustang.

Is neither an option? both brands, especially at that price range are well known for lacking anything worth mentioning...let alone paying for.

i know the kenwood unit can be purchased for under $200 shipped which i dont think is a bad price. oh, and it is a true double din, not din and a half.
