reccomendations & suggestions?

if you guys could reccomend some speakers or subs to me that would be very cool. i have a single cab 05, i listen to a lot of rock and metal, so the highs would need to be very good. i plan on keeping the stock HU for now, i just want more crisp and tight sound. thanks for any suggestions

You should have posted this in the "speakers & subwoofers" forum.

Anyway, what's your budget? That's a BIG factor...espeically when I recommend something.

For your components, I suggest Rainbow. They have plenty of lines to fit anyones budget. Bad thing about them is that it will be hard to audition a pair. They are made in Germany and only a couple of US distributors.

What does this $400 need to buy? Do you already have an amp(s)? What about install? You doing it or paying for it? $400 is not much to work with.

alpine typeR

im real happy with my alpine type-R speakers. there on a alpine 4 channel amp so i adjusted the high/mid/lows on the amp mainly. They are a great buy at about 150 a pair.. and ford speakers are extremly easy to install yourself, saving you a hundred or so for installation.

I have the Infinity 6810cs up front and 6812cf in the rear. I couldn't be happier with these. Very clean and crisp highs, even when its cranked. I am not running an amp on these, although I did replace my HU.
