Question 6cd H/U headache

I recently was given a H/U from a buddys truck that was replaced by a pioneer. When i installed it in to my truck it now shows cd error/lot full or eject error.I saw it working when he took out his cds from the H/U.We were listening to cds in it before he replaced his head unit.Same truck model and year .Anybody know what could be wrong? Please help.

The forum you spoke of suggests calling a electronics outfit in Michigan;if it's compatable they can reflash the processor in the unit.
Check out the forum for the address & phone number. Sorry,I don't have it handy. Good luck!

make sure you are doing the load/eject procedure properly. Most people who have problems are trying to load the system too fast and not doing it properly. That said, I wouldn't have one of those damn things in my vehicle. They break down a lot and are a general PITA. The only ones that my tech will even look at are the ford ones, so, you're lucky in the respect that it can probably be repaired if you want to spend the bucks. Too much of a complicated loading system in too small of a space, basically. Do yourself a favor and get an aftermarket cd/mp3 player...
