What fits an 05 supercrew

I would like to replace the audio system in my truck with a much improved version but I want that factory/custom look. So what works? Nothing to radical, just want a nice sound system

You will need an install kit and you can pretty much mount any single din or double din in there with the right kit.

Yo

go to www.crutchfield.com

You can enter your vehicle info and it will display everything compatible with that particular ride. Good Luck

If you want to keep the stock look...why not a JL Audio clean Sweep or the AudioControl unit (I forget the model name)? You can add after market subs, speakers, amps, etc. and keep the stock HU. Some here have gone this route and like the performance.

Crutchfield is a great place to start to see what fits your truck.

The OEM stereo head units have enough power to drive quality speakers, so there's really no need to replace it unless you find an after market unit you really like. All you really need to do is add some decent speakers and perhaps a sub-woofer. A powered sub-woofer with speaker level inputs can add quite a bit of punch to a factory stereo without a lot of wiring and expense.

The ones I will recommend will be hard to audition because there are only 2 US distributors (they are made in Germany). They have a GREAT following (in the car audio scene) and are hard to beat performance to price wise. They have entry level lines (starting at $100-$120) all the way up to true Audiophile sets (costing thousands). The brand is Rainbow...there are a few of us that are running them on this forum.

A good set would be the SLCs. Here's their website: http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products...hp?lan=2&pro=1

If you are interested in a pair...I know one of the distributors. I can help get you a price break.

I forget the S.R.P. on the SLC line...I get them for about $250 a pair (maybe less). The KX and SL coaxials are about $100-$120 a pair.

Email me if you want more info...not really suppose to discuss it here in the forums...even though I'm not a dealer or distributor.
