04 Aux Default on Powerup?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and have done my research before asking this question, but I can't seem to find an answer. I've got an 04 F150 with the PIE adapter on my aux button for my sirius radio. The problem is that every time I turn on the truck, the default setting shifts me to FM. Because of this I have to change to the AUX button to hear satellite. I live in Montana and satellite is the only thing worth listening to. You wouldn't think it would be a big deal, but changing the station everytime you start the truck gets old. So, the question is this. Is there a way to change the default to go to AUX everytime the truck is turned on? I've tried to turn the radio off while in AUX mode and it will turn back on in AUX, but as soon as I kill the power and start the truck again, the FM comes back. Any help is appreciated... Thanks.

I have had the same issue and the morons over at Logjam Electronics refused to do anything else about it after they replaced the unit and the issue continued.

Possible Answer

RgBlack316 got me thinking and I believe the answer is actually at the Logjam's site. It looks like the thread listed below deals with the issue.

I ordered the PIE adaptor for my 04 F150 from MyRadioStore about a month ago. I must have lucked out and got one with the "corrected" chip. When I turn the truck off with the HU in AUX mode, it starts back up in AUX mode. Regarding customer service: With my PIE adaptor, I ordered the power adapter for a Roady2 and MRS shipped the adapter for a different XM radio--THEIR mistake, not mine. They said to send the wrong one back and they would ship the correct one once they received the return. After a few back-and-forth emails discussing who should pay shipping, they shipped the correct part which arrived the next day and I returned their mistake. The compromise: I wanted to order the Bracketron iPod holder without paying $7 shipping. They sent both parts via next day UPS at no charge and I paid UPS ground charges on the return part. Bottome line: they have about an 85% chance that I would buy from them again.

I had the FRD04-AUX installed in my 07 F250 today. I get this same behavior every time I turn the truck off and then on - the radio 'reverts' to FM from the AUX setting. I called PIE this afternoon and they told me to try and wire the adapter to a constant 12v source instead of a switch source. Has anybody else heard that this might fix the problem? I don't know if I want to have constant power - even low voltage - connected. Thanks!
