Finally installed my Alpine head unit. One small problem.

This might be of interest to some who are installing a new head unit in their truck. I installed the Alpine CDA-9847 last week in my 1999 f-150. I had a problem pushing the radio in because of the wiring harness being too big, but i used cable ties to cinch the wires together to get into the small space. Also had a problem pushing the radio in because inside the radio cavity in the back ,part of the dash is angled down, preventing the head unit from going all the way in. Use the lower space for the head unit and the top for the filler it should go in.

you should have plenty of room benieth the radio for the wiring. Also you can take out the two 7 mm bolts i believe they are on the top of that metal piece and bend it up.
