Hi everybody!

I have a 2002 F-150 Screw FX4 Lariat. A good friend of mine has the '05 f250, and he has all of his controls on his steering wheel. Including Climate controls, and stereo, and cruise. The wheel look just the same as the one in my truck. Can they be switched out? It would make sense if they could. I know it would be a lot of trouble, but I figured that if it could be done, I could take it to my local dealer, and have them perform the switch. Just wondering if anyone has done this, or heard of it. Let me know the good, the bad , and the ugly!!!!

 

nobody knows anything? I was hoping that at least one person would have an answer, or at least a guess!!!

 

I would say that it's all wired different in the new one's and it's something new for Ford trucks after 03.The cost would be high to change out every thing for it too work. When you have too mess with elect when it's factory its bad,to change it over it's worst.All the stuff they put on is prewired for fast install,now if you had a 05 you may have the wireing already and just add the steering wheel to hookup for it too work.I'm sure theres more then just the steering wheel controls for it to work.They all ways come with out something new after you buy.

 

well....that's not the answer I was looking for!!! I'm lazy and I need controls on the wheel! Oh well. I guess I'll just have to do all that on my next truck, and I guess I'll just order that factory.I guess I'll wait. I mean it's not like my arm is broke, and can't reach the radio, and climate controls!
