Wiring harness question

I am in the process of splicing the wires on the harness for my 1999 f-150.My question is where is a good spot near the radio opening to hook up the ground wire. I see lots of bolts but none that have direct contact to metal. Also, my neighbor gave me a test light to use for finding the ground wire in the factory wire harness. Which location is it on the harness and also do i test for this in ACC and on position of the ignition? Thanks for your help.

NEVER cut the plug off! a wiring harness plug in is $10 at ANY car audio store!
It wires up COLOR for COLOR and makes it idiot proof!
