Alpine 9851 vs. 9847

I have looked at both of these units, and the only difference i can come up with is the 9851 has a flip face for access to the cd player and a remote. I can live without both of these features. Anyone have any comments, positive or negative about these hu's? I have a 10" sub with an Alpine MRD-M300 amp, so i don't need a built-in crossover or anything, just the seperate pre-outs. I found the 9847 for 170 bucks (i think).

Hi, I have the 9847 installed in my 01 supercrew and I love it. I also have a 10 inch sub under the rear seat and it sounds great using the subwoofer outputs and controls on the headunit. The reason I decided on the 9847 over the 9851 was the because my friend had the 9851, and within the first month he had it the motorized face broke. I've heard from other people also that the motorized faces dont hold up well under constant abuse. I figured I'd get the 9847 since it has less moving parts which means less chance of breaking. I don't care much about a remote either, like to keep it simple you know. The quality of the alpine is outstanding and I'm happy with the headunit.
