In dash DVD/mp3 install

Hey guys,

I'm having my collection of assorted stereo equipment installed next week. My only concern is the ground cable for the dvd unit hooked up so that I can use the dvd feature without the parking brake being engaged. It's a clarion unit so I'm assuming that it needs to be hooked into the ground for the old head unit? I haven't asked the installer if he'd do it yet so I may not have a problem. I just want to be prepared to fix it in case he won't.

So the question is....which wire is the ground on the factory harness?

Thanks,
Landon

I had a Clarion in-dash DVD in my mustang. The instructions say that it has to be grounded to the parking brake cable, but my installer just ran it to a constant ground so it would play movies while driving. It really was a worthless mod though, because the only time i ever used it for movies was while sitting in the staging lanes at the drag strip waiting for my turn to run.
