The install is as easy as hooking up a few wires, removing your old headunit, and popping the new one in. The installation kit is available from Circuit City, Crappy Buy, or maybe even the local autoparts store if you're lucky. You ground the wire

The install was quick and easy, it took a total of 1hr to install. Behind the HU there is a metal tab that hangs down....I used a self tapping screw, and grounded both the stereo ground, and the E-Brake wire (pink wire). I got the kit at You can get the kit at Circuit City (3x's too much), or your local Stereo Shop will have it for cheaper (I paid $25 for mounting kit and harness) Its very Clear and Loud!!! I never thought my STOCK speakers could sound so good (not great, but good). Send me a message if you have any more questions.

Thanks. I've seen the jensen unit on ebay and I'm hoping to muster up the cash to get one fairly soon. Glad to see the pics of your install and how good it looks. I'll keep in touch if I need any further questions answered.

I didn't waste the money on an install kit for my 9020. It comes with a cheesy little black surround plate that works good enough. Also, I bought one for my dad and he doesn't like it, so I am gonna sell it. If you're interested, email me. Been in the aviator for 1 week.

Stealth ,

I would jump on that from 98Navi.......the unit is way better than my previous Pioneer AVH 6500DVD unit! Way more options.

Looks Good

Looks good, glad to hear its working well too. The install looks clean and the style fits the truck, very cool. Funny now those factory speakers just don't quite cut it, good... but not great. That's classic, I have had that sooooo many times. Time for some new speakers now?? No wonder this damn hobby takes over your life, LOL.
On a side note. My one friend has the next Pioneer after the N1 (N2??), doesn't matter, he is happy with it but it cost way more and he has had nothing but trouble with it. Although it was still better than the N1 which was junk right from the factory. So sad too, Pioneer has always made nice quality radio's.
