i have an 05 f-150, i installed my own HU i had in my old truck, new system etc. after about 3 weeks running just fine all of a sudden during the middle of a cd it just turned off. wasnt sure what was wrong so heres a list of everything ive tried, and nothing has worked, looking for suggestions as to what else went wrong...

put back the factory HU
replaced the fuses pertaining to radio via the fuse card in manual then attatched to my own HU
put the factory HU in with the replaced fuses

im gonna guess i shorted something out in the wiring which would cause a problem with cd/fm/am?

when i put the factory HU in it has the power to run the clock and can grab and eject cds but cant play them or the radio. the other one just doesnt do anything.
