Question Kenwood DDX 7017

Just installed the new Kenwood DDX7017 Head unit in my 04 Supercrew. It replaced the Kenwood DDX7015. Don't ask my why!!!

Anyway The 7017 now has a wire marked steering wheel controls. All right I don't need the SWI-X that would work at best 1/4 of the time. I hooked it up to the same wire that I had the SWI-X hooked up to and nothing.

Anyone get this working with the 7017 or 8017?

Anyone have the technical info on what the Kenwood unit is looking for?

Are you planning on selling your DDX-7015? How much would you want?

Hey Rick

I just got my 06 F150 with a DDX 7017 and the 4100 Nav system.
I too, don't have the steering wheel control's. I had mine installed before I picked it up. A local stereo shop installed it. I'll give them a call Monday to see what's up. Let me know if you find out anything. Thanks
