double DIN unit

How well do the Double DIN aftermarket HU's fit? I have an '05 XLT and was thinking of purchasing an aftermarket stereo. I would like to have one that fit perfectly in the stock hole and was wondering if anyone had purchased one that fit perfectly or knew of any that would. I was looking at a sweet looking Pioneer unit the other day but it was just a smidge small for the hole and I don't want it to look "un-natural".

thanks

I haven't seen any that fit perfectly in the opening, you'll probably have to get a dash kit, I used the Metra 99-5807 kit, came with three different options and spent about $30-$45 on the kit and the wiring harness. I have the Kenwood DDX7015.

I think all of them will need a kit. If you use the Metra kit casualtr mentioned, it will look great. My Kenwood DDX7015 just looks like it belongs there.

Don't get hung up on a double din unit. They make installation kits that allow any aftermarket HU to be installed. I have the Pioneer P80MP and used this install kit.............http://www.crutchfield.com/S-z7AlNnc...h=install+kits
