Just finished installing my Kenwood EZ 700SR deck (w/ bulit in Sirius tuner). It was super easy...took under an hour! Here are some pics if you are curious...

You know for the price that tuner looks better and better. I really want DDX8017 but the 1500 dollar difference is beggining to change my mind.


How many lines of information does that show?

 

That is one of the bad things...it's only one line, although, by pushing a button, it will toggle through all available displays. I really thought it was going to bother me after using a starmate for a while, but after about 2 days, I was used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. I also installed new Infinity speakers all around it sounds awesome...very impressed with the sound quality! I thought I might add a sub, but I think it sounds just fine like it is...

 

I just ordered this exact radio w/ the install kit from Crutchfield. Can you give some details about the installation? Specifically, was the antenna a problem to install? Is mounting on the forward side of the cab roof an option? Does the length of the antenna wire run affect the reception/sound quality-clarity? I imagine running the wire thru the brake light would be the easiest, but just wondered about running the wire that far is all. Any other issues with the install?

Now that you've had it a while, what's your opinion of the set up?
