Help with iPod

I am looking for a HU that is iPod ready with out having to buy an additional box to buy. I saw the Alpine unit and the Pioneer unit, but both require an extra box to buy.

Any help on this would greatly appreciated.

Ipod ready?

If by Ipod ready you mean can control the unit from the deck without an interface box, well then that just doesn't exist yet pilgrim. If on the otherhand you mean a headunit with an aux port that doesn't require a seperate box, that's easy. Crutchfield has a list sorting option that will narrow down all the headunits they sell with either rca or mini plug aux input ports in all price ranges.

my old aiwa mp3 player had an aux in, on the front of the face plate. it would allow me to play my ipod mini but i had to use the controls on the ipod to change songs etc. if you dont mind doing that, just find a stereo w/ an aux in which is a small headphone size jack on the front of the head unit. If you want to control it from the stereo then you HAVE to get the extra box.
