Controlling Factory CD Changer

Will the Sony headunits control our factory CD changer? If not, which ones will?

Thanks!

no it wont, most companies especially sony like to use completely different parts from the o.e. parts so that you have to buy all the same or more of their product, i used to install car audio and usually the only manufacturer that used similar equiptment was JBL...hit up your local car audio shop and see if someone theyre can match it and hook it up..if not cd stackers are cheap these days anyways

I looked into this, and it seems it can't be done. You need to get a new changer too. Hope you prove me wrong though.

The changer in your 01 was made by Clarion. They are made to speak to a Visteon Head Unit. They will not even talk to a Clarion HU. There are some adapters out there but the combinations are limited.
