Is the audiophile head unit any better than the regular 6 disc cd player?

 

Don't think so. A stock HU is a stock HU. They all suck. Other than the output for the sub, I don't really think there is a diff...

 

I sure hope so, because quite frankly, the 6-disc units I have heard deliver, at best, unimpressive performance. I really wish the manufacturer's would put some better componentry into their "upgraded" sound systems!

 

Ha, "upgraded" sound system for most companys is like "New improved high performance speaker wire, and bright flashy stickers!!!!"

 

Well you know when the Factory ups the power from 8 watts to 10 watts for there upgraded H.U. THEY MEAN BUSINESS! If you have the choice, go with the Audiophile H.U. for the SUB OUTPUT. You gotta' have some lows....
