Subwoofer fuse on 05 SCab fuseblock

OK, I've read everywhere I could think of, I've searched key words, still I can't find what I'd like to know.

I have a Shaker 1000, factory sub/amp combo, all the connections I needd, printed off the wiring diagram, and located the exact fuse dedicated to a factory installed system.

If I'm correct on my interpretation the fuse in the block is a 25 AMP and located in the #38 slot. I bravely hung upside down with a mini-mag in tow and still couldn't figure out where to run my "hot wires" from the amp to take advantage of this fuse and maintain a stock appearance. Can anyone out there enlighten me by providing an almost visual location of where this taps in? There are so many plugs going in, I'm afraid I might blow the whole thing out. Thanks!!!

I do not know if this will help you, but I add an amped sub and ranthte power wire off of the accessory wire in the wiring harness and then ran the amp wire to the fuse box. I rigged one of those u shaped wires off of the end of the sub wire and plugged it into slot #38. I then cut a little notch out of the bottom of the fuse box so that the wire could go out and voila! All of the wires are hidden and everything works. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, but I was actually looking to find out exactly where the hot wires from the factory sub/amp are wired into the fuse block. I found fuse #38, but for the life of me, I can't figure out where to "plug" my wires in to be able to use that fuse.

I think this may be what you are looking for: (Sorry about the image size)

The sub gets power from pin 6 of connector 270M. If you can find that connector, and add the pin, the fuse will supply power to the sub.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! It's exactly what I was looking for. Now I can finish what I started. This thing has been driving me crazy. I actually went back to the dealer and looked at the fuse box of one that already had the audiophile installed. But, given the location, I still didn't see it because they wouldn't allow me to remove the panel completely so I could look at the backside of the fuse box. Again, thank you so much. This board is a great source of info and if I can ever help someone, believe me, I will.

Hey -- did you get those pictures from the DVD service manual? Does the manual have interior "disassembly" instructions? Thanks!

Yep - Those pics came from the service DVD.

What interior disassembly are you looking to do? There are procedures on the DVD for just about everything. Send me an email of what you're looking for and I'll see what I can find.
