Which aftermarket head units are compatible with our factory CD changers? I read that the changer is a Clarion unit, but will other head units control it?

 

you can get convertors that change the factory chager to certain headunits just search for convertors
ex. ford to sony

 

I've been searching for the same kind of connection.

I want to install a Kenwood DDX 7015 into my Expedition and can't find a converter or anything that will connect it to the factory CD changer.

I've contacted PEI and they said that you can go from a factory HU to an aftermarket CD changer but not from a factory CD changer to an aftermarket HU.

Don't know why?
