where is the factory amp on 98 f150?

I posted a smilar question in the amplifier section.
I need to bypass the amp to get the new head unit to work.
Somone out there has to know where the amp is located. I checked a haynes manual and they did not say.
PLEASE HELP.
Thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure its behind the floor heat/ac duct cover thing if you know what Im talking about. That black plastic cover right between the tranny hump and bottom of dash. Heh, not sure what the 'technical' name is for it. Take it that off and youll find it.

Or just run new speaker wire from your HU to door speakers.
