I purchased a dash kit for my 2004 f150 from Crutchfield and I’m not satisfied with the way it looks. For some reason there are spaces on each side of the deck, Its looks bad. Anyone know where I can get a better quality dash kit from?

 

It looks like a standard universal type so I don't know why it would have a gap on the edging. Try getting a kit from a big box store.

My guess would be since these kits are multi-use they probably sent you one that is quite similar to the one you need. It would explain why it fits the location but the materials aren't wide enough.
