Find a cd player out of a 99-03 so the harness will match. Then all you have to do is take out the old one, plug in the new one and you are done.

The stock cd players arent to bad. If your just doing some casual listening they are good, especially if you are staying with the stock speakers. Plus they are stealthy. If you plan on adding amps, subs, speakers etc it might be worth it to get aftermarket becasue of all the features, although there are a lot of people who have the stock radio with systems and like it.

An aftermarket will cost way more than what you can get a stock one for.

I have a stock CD player out of my 99 if you are interested.
Works fine, I just wanted to upgrade

Stock CD player from 02 S-crew

If anyone is still looking for a stock CD player, I have one that I'd be happy to sell to someone on here.
E-mail me at hawkfxr724@fewpb.net

E-mail me so we won't keep filling this forum post!
Thanks
DC

PS. I even have the little U-shaped tools for removing/installing the HU. They come with it!

yes they will fit the 97 f-150
will need a harness adapter and you will have to trim a little bit
of plastic on the inside where the radio goes. plus you'll have to remove/ cut the bracket maybe flip it so it will work with the radio
hope this helps
