Question Pedal Question

I know a few people have mentioned that the rubber strips have started to pull away from the gas and brake pedals. I noticed that mine are starting to as well and have thought about replacing them entirely.

I had a friend that had a 95(?) Cobra that he'd replaced the pedals on. They were pretty sweet looking. Unfortunately, I have no contact with him any more, nor does he have the car any longer.

My question is, are there other pedals out there that fit these trucks? I'd like to get something like the ones he had, very race looking. They had small spikes on the pedals to keep your foor from slipping.

Lightbulb Now that I think about it...

Now that I've typed this question out, I remember that he'd taken his Cobra to Saleen for tons of work.

I believe these were the pedals, or at least looked a lot like them.

Any ideas on if these will fit or if there's something similar to them that will?

Thanks in advance!

not sure how those would work, if they are big enough or not for hte brake pedal and all, and they'd have to bolt over top of the stock pedals, cuz the stock ones are one piece design, arm and all.
a couple guys from the other site have managed to get their pedals replaced under warranty though with the rubber strips coming off

i'm still trying to find a set of pedal covers that i can get for my truck cuz the 00's just have the plain pedals, but i don't want to have to drill anything

o yeah, check out trenz pedals. they look really cool. they have the raised strips that are the rougher metal too for better grip and the polished flat part

Like Josh said Trenz has many style that fit trucks. It depends if you fill like drilling the pedals. I don't think you would even notice the holes if you ever took the pedals off unless you really looked.

My rubber is also tearing off the brake pedal after only 2,500 miles. Can I assume the rubber can be replaced instead of the entire pedal?

probalby not, usually with ford you have to order the whole assembly same with the fogs....bracket breaks you need an entire new assembly, foglight bulbs and all.
but check with your dealer about getting it covered under warranty. a few guys have so far
