They put it up against the:

Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab
Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab

Dont care who won, the HD is the baddest truck out for the buck.

 

yeah, i was gonna say, i thought that i heard that somewhere's else that the dodge won, cuz i wrote that mag down on a piece of paper cuz i wanted to pick it up at the store. still cool though! They dont really seem to like fords there anyway, and just seem to pick the newest redesigned pickup

There is also an article on the 03HD in January's Sport Truck too i believe. I gotta try and find that issue somewhere's. I want december's too cuz it had a 02HD in there. Hopefully i can find if one of my friends picked up that issue and want to give it up cuz i collect all that stuff. lol.

I read the up front article that listed the trucks they tested, turned the page and they had the Ford first. Oh well. I agree the Ford is the winner in my book.

You are right though, they are partial to Chevy in that mag but I still like to check out the mods. Good for ideas.

 

They seem to always give the awards to the new ones. For example...the GMC Envoy won the first year it came out and the Chevy Avalanche won the first year it came out. It's just a thing they do...it's not really which was is the nicest. Cause we all know...with the interior, engine, and badass wheels...the harley is definately on top.

 

I had a 2003 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab for 3 weeks while my HD was being fixed and I'll tell you I was seek to my stomach I missed my truck so much. The Dodge was a ***** ride and the get up and go just was not there.
I also agree with thise mags being partial to Chevy and GMC, just like road and track mag is partial to BMW.
Well I guess those who have HD's know what a real truck is.

 

Yeah, I'm really a dumba$$ for not getting through the whole mag before posting this thread. Oh well, got some conversation going.

I looked at the side by side compare and I still don't see how the Dodge beats the Ford, except maybe in price.

My wife owned a Durango and I gotta tell you it was a piece of *****(Talked her into selling it to get an Expy, whew!). The quality of materials and fit and finish were not on par with Ford or GM for that matter and I've owned both.

Oh well, at least it made the top 5 which is pretty good for a GM biased mag.

 

Yea, I made the same mistake. But it was great to see the two tone HD picture and a decent write up on the truck.
