Question Best tuners / techs in Southern California?

I would need recommandations of best tuners / technicians in Southern California familiar with Lightings and supercharged Harley Davidsons.

Thanks in advance!

dermaestro,

I did not forget. I actually have a memory of an elephant.

At that point in time I did not ask for best tuner / technician, I asked for best dyno place.

So I went there and I did dyno (that's the one I am referring to in my other threads). Owner was polite, no questions there. BUT few weeks later, when guys on forums started asking what are my A/F #s I realized that Swanson never offered to do A/F #s or anything else for that matter, even though I was clear to him that I know nothing about trucks and that I am obtaining chart in order to have something that could help me in troubleshooting my issues (I did tell him what my issues are).

So, to get those #s I would have to go there again and spend $100 again. Yes, maybe it was miscommunication, but I paid nice bucks. When customer pays nice bucks for your expertise you should be a guidance to that customer, instead of forgetting to advise some things should be maybe done.

So I will still check out some more before making final decision.

Thanks again!

Let me know

Let me know if you find any other places. Torrance is a little further than I would like to drive. Used to work up that way and never enjoyed that drive.

Actually, distance isn't the issue, I just don't like Torrance.

I totally agree with you. You and I are very similar in our knowledge of vehicles and engines. When you pay money, you want someone to help you out, not just do what you ask.

Good luck!

I will keep you posted.

Also, since then I have found out that DynoJet (what Swanson and many others use) is far from best way to dyno your truck. According to people DynoJet is OK for quick check of mod results BUT will give you skewed numbers (especially on heavy vehicles like our trucks) if true HP values is what you are after. According to those people Super-Flow dyno is better, while "eddy-current" is absolutely best.

LA as in Los Angeles? If yes then lets look for it together. I haven't found one yet, but I am looking.

Are you in the mood to meet over beer? I gotta see your truck, and I am trying to expand circle of people that I know that are enthusiastic about this kind of trucks.

I have alot of parts from my truck that I have already upgraded to better one. If you want any let me know. Here is a short list. Also my e-mail is djenders@msn.com

1. 4lb pully from jdm
2. a cat back exhaust with dual in and out
3. 85 mm C&L mass air and filter and pipe.
4. Super chip single and a dual flip chip version.

Might have more but cant remember.

I can not do Thursday but I might be able to do Saturday. Where is your tuner? What time you plan to be there?

I will e-mail you and lets exchange #s, its faster to talk then exchange postings here.

Looking forward to meeting you!
