Question Warranty

Ok I know I sound like a dummy, but what can I do to my truck as far as mods go and not effect my warranty? I'm pretty sure the induction mods don't, as well as the cosmetic mods. What about pulley's? I am also thinking about getting the Micro Tuner as opposed to a chip...any ideas? Since I only have 1300miles on it, I'd like the warranty to be "still active" just in case something goes wrong.

Mods to date:

Tinted cab windows, Genuine Ford trailer hitch, Genuine Ford/HD bug shield/w HD badge, Genuine Ford/HD license plate surround front and rear/w laser etched SS Ford/HD front plate.

I know what you mean. I have the same problem. I wanted to put a different pulley/chip in mine as well, but I was told that would void my warranty. You can, however, put on things like an aftermarket intake system and exhaust.

Intake won't viod your warranty under most cases. My friend who works at the dealer got a cheap one though, and there was no bracket and it rubbed some wires and shorted them out and the truck wouldn't run. If he didn't work for ford, his warrany would have been voided. But if you get a quality intake like JL or AF1 or one of those, you'll be fine with that.
i believe cat back exhaust won't hurt your warranty.
pullys will void it if thats what caused the damage. So say if you put on a 6 lb lower and your headlights stop working or something. They can't say your warranty is voided and they can't cover the headlights cuz the pully would have nothing to do with that.
You can drop it also.
Some guys still put pully's on, and if they have to go in for warranty work pull the pully and take out the chip, but they can still find out stuff's been messed with.

i've heard of some guys though going to the dealer and having the dealer install a Lightning upper pully so they could still keep their warranty

356,

That's exactly what I did.... had the dealer install Lightning upper pulley, which they agreed would still be covered under warranty!

Lightning Upper?

I thought that the Lightning upper pulley was extremly hard to get on and off. I would be afriad that the dealer would mess up the shaft then not tell me, then I would be out of luck!

Anyone got a PN# For it
