Question anyone buy their 02HD on the D-plan?

Just wondering how much you paid. I just found out that my brother works as a Nissan tech at a Nissan/Ford dealer in Illinois. He said I am eligible to buy a Ford on his D-plan. He was unfamiliar with the specifics though. Can someone please fill me in? And if you bought one on this plan how much did the truck cost?

I am getting '03 HD on A-plan --- I think you should be able to get an '02 HD for D-plan (Especially considering the fact they are trying to get rid of '02s to make room for the '03s )

As long as your brother can get you a valid PIN# you should be able to purchase under D-plan. D-plan is the same as Z or A plan. D/A/Z plan is about $1000 back of invoice on a HD. This combined with the $1000 will save you some dollars.

So its $1000 above dealer cost?

Is dealer invoice and dealer cost 2 different numbers? How can I find out the invoice price?

So you're also saying there is a $1000 rebate right now that I can use and basically pay invoice price?

The dealer will show you the invoice when you have an A/Z/D plan pin number. On the invoice is the A/Z/D plan price. You should pay that price less any rebates. This will get you about $2000 back of the dealer invoice price. Invoice is about $33k for a 2002 HD, and D plan combined with the rebate will put you around $31k.

I was thinking about buying an 02HD. The dealer here has several on the lot that are fully loaded for $31,900. But if I can get an 03HD for the same price or less, I'd be stupid not to. Plus I don't have to get in a hurry. I can wait til next year and see if the economy picks up and feel better about getting stuck with a bigger payment.
