Question Front Ground Effect

Would you ever change your front lower ground effect. I damaged my stock Harley ground effect and may try a different look. Whats your opinions and have you seen any ones you like.

The one thats I keep going back to is the Roush front ground effect.

Thanks.

The only other front valance i'd ever consider would be the lightning one, but i like the HD one too much. There's pics posted of a dsg 02 a few weeks back. if you want i can find them again for ya.
you could always get the 03 HD valance, but IMO its kinda off looking cuz it doesn't match the curves of the truck.
But personally i'd stick with the stock HD valance. Makes it look more like a real HD rather than getting an aftermarket one. just my .02$
let us know how it goes

I was considering the Lightning front end. Not to sure if I want a HD/L. Kinda cool idea though.

you could always get the 03 HD valance
Do you know if the 03 will fit well?? I may be intrested in trying that out.

I also was looking at the new 03 pics. Those new fender flares. I wonder if the would fit the 2000 also???

If anyone has any more ideas, spit em out. The truck is going for some body work. So well it's in the shop I may get some apperance mods taking care of. Installing Roll pan, Hood and new lower ground effect.

I may even look into air brush and some shaving. Just looking around for prices. Any products that you have noticed please post.

Thanks for the help.

The 03 Lower valance will fit perfectly. It just bolts up under the stock metal piece of the bumper (the middle strip) in place of our valance. Can probably use the same fogs also. They haven't changed either from what i've heard.

For the fender flares i was thinking about this a few weeks back. Do a search and you'll find lot of info that i found on it. Basically unless you don't mind drilling like 12 holes in each fender, then its not that bad, but i will not be drilling any holes at all just for some fender flares. Its cuz they go on with clips and you have to drill the holes in the fenders for them to attach. I've also heard from guys who did it said it wasn't worth all the work.

Installing Roll pan, Hood and new lower ground effect
Which brand rollpan?

Which brand/model hood?

Ground effects? So you are taking off the nurfbars?

You better have some pics for us!!

o yeah, you want some more suggestions for stuff?

ghost flames?
street scenes smooth cowl
street scenes mirrors
smooth side steps
street scenes smooth bed caps
02 HD headlights
Lightning taillights (if you already don't have these things)
bedrug?

O yeah, since you have a 00 HD and the chrome lower grille, if you get the 03 valance, you could probably swap out the lower grilles so you could keep the chrome lower. I'm not sure if the shape has changed for the lower grilles or not, but from the pics it doesn't look like the grille shape/size has changed and its cheaper for ford that way, so it may work

Lightning valance swap idea...

I have installed the '02 Lighting valance on my '02 HD, which I think looks much better now. I can tell you from my experience that the HD fog lamps and grill will not crossover to L valance. You will have to buy these too.

It was dropped off yesterday at the body shop. Change of plans. I've decided to get it back to stock and put money into performance. Gotta have the power to back up the looks.
